Time is flying!

One thing about Thailand I wish America had, taxi trucks. You can just stand on the street and about every 10 minutes you can hop on a truck for 60 baht (about 2 dollars) and get a ride to the beach. Man I'd like something like this when I didn't feel like driving to Portland :)
Sadness has shown me it's cold shoulder recently. It came when my favorite neighbor kid, Sky, left to visit his grandma and won't be back until I've left Thailand! What is this world coming too?! You can't just have a favorite neighbor kid and see him everyday? Anyway, to help men's my broken heart I ate breakfast at my favorite place with an epic pancake with honey and fresh fruit smothered all over it. Thank goodness for comfort food ;)
This month has been super busy. We have the special invitation work for the community and right now my friend I went to pioneer school with is here to visit and it's been awesome! Then 2 other people are coming from the states to visit so a huge blasty blast is what I predict for the future :)
We went to James Bond island so imagine the theme song when looking at the pictures cuz it's more fun that way ;)
I miss everyone and everything back home so much but I know I only have a little over two weeks left so I gotta make the best of the time I have!
Cockroaches continue to be a source of annoyance. Yesterday as I was washing dishes one came right by my hand and when I saw it I jumped like 10 feet (well more like 10 inches..but same thing) and screamed like a little girl. I got my revenge though, with my shoe. Ahh yeah!
This post is short but I'll add a bunch of pics ;) The last one of my beach drawing is with a dog that wouldn't move when I was trying to make the I love you sign and take pics of it. Silly dog ;)

Shenanigans

Shenanigans continue in the Thailand world. I spent 2 hours playing tag and 'jail' with our absolutely adorable neighbor kids. I'm pretty sure Thai kids are my favorite (no offense to all other races but seriously they're way too cute) By 'jail' I meant they locked me up behind my own gate at my house. It was hilarious. Definitely was in my top 5 great Thailand moments :)
The critters continue to be a common surprising occurrence. While I was outside talking to my sister I had a gecko drop on my head. You can bet your bottom dollar I was standing up in 2 milliseconds vigorously shaking my head. How was I suppose to know it wasn't some poisonous reptile?
Our congregation is awesome :) And we still regularly get many amazing visitors. Today we had cleaned the Kingdom Hall as a group after meeting. Everyone brought food and after the feast we had a good ol' time cleaning and teasing one another ;) Good times
The last pics will be people in my congregation and visitors

Randomness

In recent news, I had a new unexpected Thailand discovery whilst driving back home from meeting last Thursday night. As we are about to turn the corner Leah spots a black creature on the road. Upon getting closer we come to the horrible realization it is in fact, a scorpion. I knew about the snakes. I knew about the ridiculously huge tarantulas. I did not however expect the scorpions. And so I'll be on the next plane for Oregon.
Just kidding. I'm practically MacGyver for goodness sakes. ;P
I have a new favorite eat spot, it's kind of like a bunch of food carts that came together in one building with a huge cafeteria. I dig it. I seem to be the only farang (foreigner) here. I don't mind though, it's nice not to see a bunch of white people every day ;) I went up to what I believe will now be my usual booth and said hi to the woman working there, Sun. She remembered me and what I ordered the last time, this chick is good! She said in broken English 'ohh I like you, you me buddy' and then I replied in broken Thai 'yes, friend'. Good moments :) She has now made me my favorite Thailand dish so far and a local Thai sister told me she'll teach me how to make it. Score!
I think I've made friends with a neighbor kid. I started 'racing' him when he was on his bike the other day and ever since then he's been totally interested in what I'm doing. He started copying what I would say to my mom when I was on the phone 'love you mom' 'that's so funny' it was hilarious! I asked if I could get a picture and he started dancing. Such a ham :)
Only one more month left here :( it's bittersweet since on one hand I really miss everyone and, let's be honest, my car and my daily Ground coffee fix (first world problems haha) But on the other hand I really have loved this experience. Seeing a completely different culture and basically a different world than back home has been really awesome. Hopefully I'll come back with a better perspective on what's really important. Simple living is the way to go :)
Started the March invitations today so it'll be a busy month :)
This post will have random pics, enjoy ;)
